Governor Kathleen Sebelius has won re-election over her Republican challenger, Jim Barnett, for Governor of Kansas. With all Kansas precints reporting, Sebelius has won with 58% percent of the vote.
DoubleSpeak recently profiled Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius. Kansas held its primary yesterday and it seems that State Senator Jim Barnett has taken the gold and has earned the chance to take on Sebelius, who ran un-opposed for the Democratic nomination, in November. The only problem is he’s got no chance.
State Sen. Jim Barnett’s solid victory in the Republican gubernatorial race pushed him into a contest against Democratic Gov. Kathleen Sebelius that many Kansans doubt he can win.
Even some Republicans are doubters.
“It’s going to be hard because Kathleen Sebelius is so popular and has been good for Kansas,” said Audrey Schwegler, a GOP voter from Mission Hills, after casting her ballot at a Lutheran church.
Check out the new ad Gov. Sebelius put out last week called ‘respect’. It’s really good.

Governor Sebelius is a smart politician and has been able to win in Kansas- a state that has brought us the likes of Sam Brownback and Fred Phelps. Well, also Arlen Specter- but you get the point.
