New Talking Point On Iraq

October 28th, 2006 by Matthew Slutsky

I think we’ve figured out the newest talking point for the Republican Party on Iraq. Instead of engaging in legitimate debate regarding the failed war in Iraq, Republicans have now been told to ask whoever they’re speaking to a simple question:

“Do you want to win the war in Iraq?”

That’s right, there will be no more debate on the war. Either you believe we should “stay the course” and continue to lose brave American lives and countless number of innocent Iraqi civilian life OR you want to lose the war.

Listen to two Republicans say the exact same line on the war!

Bill O’Reilly on Letterman:

Great clip of Letterman. Goes to show the fundamental difference between those who support the war and those who who oppose it. The Republicans think Iraq is a simple issue, black and white, we either want to win or we don't. The Democrats, on the other hand being more thoughtful, acknowledge that it is a complex issue that requires our leadership to use our heads to solve the issue instead of just staying the course, or what ever phrase they now use.
