Jon Corzine was sworn in as New Jersey’s 54th Governor on January 17, 2006. Since then, Corzine has had to tackle a number of critical issues including a budget stalemate that eventually led to him shutting down all non-essential government facilities for several days. Corzine was elected to the United States Senate in 2000 after leaving his position as CEO of the investment firm Goldman Sachs.

Joe Cryan entered the political realm 1996 as the Democratic Municipal Chairman in Union Township and was then elected to the State Assembly to represent the 20th Legislative District. Joe Cryan was chosen by then newly-elected Governor Jon Corzine to lead the State Party and the Democratic State Committee unanimously confirmed his nomination soon after. As Chairman of the Party, Cryan works with candidates up and down the ballot to raise funds and plot strategy to ensure Democratic victories at every level of government.
